Forest Management and Stewardship Planning
Hudson Forestry recommends that forest landowners develop a long-term management strategy which is documented within a forest stewardship plan. The plan identifies the landowner's history and objectives of ownership, the current forest stand composition and structure, timber volumes, timber valuation, access, soils, wildlife habitat, water quality and future forest management goals.
The forest stewardship plan can be used for tax purposes to document the landowner's enrollment within the NH Current Use Land Classification and Vermont's Use Value Appraisal (UVA) Program.
